  1. Magar says:
In many ways this is not a true Atlanta Rhythm Section album, whether in a "structured form" or not. To start with, the album packaging refers to the band only as ARS and not as the Atlanta Rhythm Section. Apparently, some ex-members of the group protested the usage of the full moniker, so the members utilized their often-used initials on this album.3/

I saw and met Ronnie Hammond and Atlanta Rhythm Section live in Dallas around the time this album was released (), and soon found a single of the lead-off track "Awesome Love". It was a driving rock classic, and I had to buy the whole CD. Some tracks are the brooding and moody ARS we all love from the late 70's/5(9).

For all the things it's not, Truth In A Structured Form is a good album for the time period. It certainly sounds dated now, but for the timeframe it holds it's own with it's peers. That said, not an essential in the ARS catalogue; But for $ used on Amazon, give it a shot if you're a fan/5(9).

  8. Maugore says:
The album closes with a moderately paced song about love found and lost-"said I wouldn't miss her, I stand corrected." The words and music evoke the notion of loss and the desire to get past it and move on as the album winds up.
  9. Kitaxe says:
The Atlanta Rhythm Section, like many Southern Rock bands in the 80's, hardly sound like anything you've heard them play before. Southern Rock was so very last Tuesday, and AOR seemed to be the salvation. Yeah right! On "Truth In A Structured Form" they sound like 38 Special or Molly Hatchet did in the 80's. Rather dumb and a terribly dated
